With the Wanda series on shelves and in digital form, I changed to a first-person account by Mr. Antonio of his times during World War I. “Anthony Lee Murphy Goes to War” is ready for the publisher. He tells about leaving northwest Tennessee with his younger brother to join the Navy in order to stop the Germans from hurting our European friends. His story encompasses convoy duty against German U-boats to the love of a French girl in Brest, France. My publisher should have this story out for you by September.
The third and final novel of the Wanda series is at the publisher’s.
The series of Wanda books continues with her husband shoving her off a boat in the warm, shark-infested waters of the South Pacific. She knows nothing of her destiny as she fights to stay afloat in the ocean waters and in her life that follows. Tahiti, Memphis, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Cape Verde are some of the places she visits in an effort to recover her life and fortune.
Wanda asks: “If you are only a memory for others, are you dead?”
The third novel in the Wanda trilogy is on to Beta Readers. In this phase, selected readers review the novel and make recommendations. After this phase and a short rewrite, the novel will be off to the editor. The working title is: “Uxoricide, but she wouldn’t die.“
I won’t say my keys are smoking, but the third book in the Wanda series is over sixty percent finished. I should have it out to the editor by November 3rd.
If you haven’t read “A Cork upon the Sea” and “A Slip into the Abyss” yet, you need to get on with it.
This third book has a working title of: “Uxoricide Blotched or why she wouldn’t die.”
Here’s a paragraph from the second page: “The cool isolation of the swim platform of the tour boat lulled me into a gentle calmness that had been missing in my life for some time. Coming to the South Pacific to iron the bumps out of our marriage had been a good choice. The pressure in the middle of my back provided no disruption to my peace until I became aware that it was pushing me from my tenuous perch. I panicked as I twisted and grabbed for the unknown that was shoving me from the boat.”
For you folks that like reading on tablets and phones, A Slip into the Abyss is now available in most online bookstores.
Of course the paperback can be ordered online too.
My latest book in the Wanda series is now in the stores (Amazon, B&N, etc.) If you are a Kindle or Nook reader, it will still be another week. Hang in there!
Wow! Amazon just put one of my previous books on sale for $0.00 for Kindle unlimited people.
